About

Marietta At The Pool
At my home club in Steamboat Springs, CO

My name is Marietta, I’m so glad you are here!

On this blog I share my passion for fitness and everything I have learned over my thirty year career as a personal trainer and fitness instructor. My sincere hope is that I can share content that will transform your life and help you get healthier and happier! If you are currently a fitness fanatic I will also share some of my clients most favorite workouts and some advanced workouts as well. There will be something for everyone!

I started this blog in May of 2019 so I’m pretty new on the blogging scene but it is taking off fast! This platform has helped me share my years of knowledge with a wider audience and I am sooooo excited about it!

I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico so I do speak Spanish and sometimes you will be able to tell by the way I write. Writing English is much harder than speaking it ;-). I started going to Aerobics classes with my mom in the ’80s and that is when I absolutely fell in love with fitness. I’ve been involved on one way or another ever since. One of my favorite things to teach is Indoor Cycling/Spinning. I am currently a Master Presenter for Life Fitness ICG and get to travel around and certify new Indoor Cycling Instructors. I love it!!!

Along the way I’ve had the honor of training at Starbucks headquarters in Seattle, and work with the great american cyclist Greg Lemond at his company Lemond Fitness. I trained a famous TV actress and a musician in an amazing club in Charleston, SC. And I trained a motocross superstar in Tallahassee, FL.

Now I live in the rocky mountain ski resort town of Steamboat Springs, Colorado with my husband Matt and our dog Jackson. 96 Olympians have called Steamboat home and I get to work alongside many of them. On top of that this town is crazy-active. Not only are there Olympians but we have ultra-runners, skiers, snowboarders, swimmers, triathletes and every kind of athlete you can think of.

We like to take trips back to my home of Puerto Rico when the long winters start to get to us or hop down to Mexico when we can. I love the water and try to get back home as much as possible to visit my family.
